I have an issue in EVE-NG where vSRX will not get an IP address from the DHCP server.
When I add a vSRX-Next Gen with the same configuration as a vSRX, it will pick up an IP address from the DHCP server.
I have tried different versions of vSRX and the outcome is the same. Has anyone faced this issue and resolved it? I am far from a pro with Juno as I am more of a Cisco guy trying to better my skills with Junos.
Before anyone steps in with "why don't you just use the vSRX Nest Gen". This post is about getting the vSRX not the Next Gen.
Below is the config which is very basic just for the vSRX to get an IP from the DHCP server. There is no other configuration.
set version 23.1R1.8
set system root-authentication encrypted-password "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
set system services
set security zones security-zone UNTRUST interfaces ge-0/0/0.0 host-inbound-traffic system-services all
set security zones security-zone UNTRUST interfaces ge-0/0/0.0 host-inbound-traffic system-services dhcp
set security zones security-zone UNTRUST interfaces ge-0/0/0.0 host-inbound-traffic protocols all
set interfaces ge-0/0/0 unit 0 family inet dhcp
Thanks in advance.
