  • 1.  Using Junos 18.4 for QFX? It's time to upgrade!

    Posted 18 days ago

This is a reminder that Junos software release 18.4 for QFX reached end-of-support in 2022. We still see occasional support cases being opened for this version, so want to guide anyone still using it to an appropriate upgrade path.

(Please note that we have also provided specific instructions for Junos 12.x, 14.x, 15.x, and 16.x users that differ from these. Choose your upgrade path based on which end-of-support Junos version you use.)

Upgrades will vary by architecture. Learn more about the Junos 18.4 upgrade by accessing information relevant to your network:

    The target releases are:

    • 22.2R3-Sx for QFX5110, QFX5120, QFX5200, QFX5210, QFX10002, QFX10008, QFX10016
    • 21.4R3-Sx for QFX5100

Upgrading will help you mitigate risks, reduce costs, and modernize your network foundation. Let us know if this post helps, and please provide your upgrade tips for other users.

    Hi @kronicklez

I do not have a procedure for VCF that covers that big of a jump between releases but we definitely want to get you on something more modern that Junos 14.x. Feel free to reach out to me privately and we can engage on your specific situation to see the best approach for you moving forward.
