  • 1.  Unable to Access Juniper SRX380 Loader System

    Hello everyone,

    I am facing an issue with my Juniper SRX380 where I am unable to access the Junos system or even the loader system, preventing me from properly installing Junos. I have inspected the hardware, but there are no apparent issues.

    During the startup process, I can interrupt it to enter the Octeon ebb7304# mode, but I am unable to update U-Boot and the loader. The U-Boot message displayed is:

    

    U-Boot 2013.07 ACCTON Version 0.0.0.4 (Build time: Jan 15 2020 - 18:26:51)

    However, on a normal device, it should display:

    

    U-Boot 2013.07-JNPR-3.1

    What does this discrepancy mean?

    Additionally, this SRX380 can enter an embedded Linux interface with the prompt:

    

    root@(none):/diagnostic#

    Is there any way to recover this device, or is it beyond repair?

    The ebb7304 prompt you're dealing with seems to be very similar to the => prompt. You may be able to recover U-Boot and everything from USB.
