  • 1.  SSL VPN licensing in HA cluster

    Hi all,

     

    I have SRX240 as a main firewall for which I've purchased Dynamic licenses; I want  to set up second SRX240 as an active failover for it - how does the licensing work in that case?

     

    In theory second device is there only in case first one fails to take over and pretty much for only as long as that first is down; main idea of HA is seamless switch redundancy, with exact mirror of the configuration and functions. Yet licensing is per-machine (requiring code generation based on auth code and device's serial) - will it still work in HA?

    Subscription licenses are always per machine. So - no it won't work except for the minimum license that comes with an SRX.
