I have been able to pass multicast traffic from one srx210 to another and all works well in only one direction. Is there a way to pass the multicast trafic between srx's in both directions = senders and receivers on both internal subnets? Thanks inadvance for any help.
So if I understand correctly, you have multicast sources on each side.
If that is the case, I am assuming they are sourcing traffic for distinct multicast group. Is that correct?
If I am understanding correctly, yes. Same group. The devices on the trusted internal networks of each one of the srx210's send and receive multicast traffic. The group / multicast adress 22.214.171.124, is the same on all those devices. It can changed, if needed.
If multicast group is same on the source on either side, why would devices behind SRX1 will use source which is behind SRX2 & vice versa?
If multicast source behind SRX1 uses Group 1 while source behind SRX2 uses Group2, then it make sense & it can be achieved theoretically.
