    Hi All,

What are my options to have console connections into an SRX? (i.e 100 and 210).

Reason I ask such question is because, these modern latops don't have the DB9 connectors, they only have 'Projector' DB15 'i think'. How can I have a console connection from such laptops?

I am currently using one of the 'revenue ports' and this can be limiting esp when you want to delete entire config, and also when you want to configure cluster, where in both instances you loose connection/control of device.

Any device that works as a converter maybe?Or any solution?

    Hi

If you do not have DB9 port in your laptop, you could try using serial-to-USB converter.

    Regards,

The PL-2303 is a very well-supported chip for USB -> Serial.  I have 5 different adapters that all use the PL-2303 chip inside them and they all work perfectly with the same driver across all my operating systems (Windows, OS X, and Linux).

Another option is to connect the console port of the srx's to a server that has the com ports and then you can remote to the term server and use a putty/secureCRT/Hyperterm on the server.

    Thank to all,

I purchased a PL-2303 converter and now I have USB-Serial for my console connections.
