Recently the following log has been encountered on the one of the high end SRX(s). It is noted it is relating to the pyhsical interface  -ge-5/3/9 as the interface is up up from the output of  >sh int ge-5/3 terse . Any idea please?

    Hi ,

This log message will be generated when state of an interface which is member of aggregate-ethernet bundle change.

Do you have LACP on this reth bundle? If so I would request you checking the LACP statistics and see if these messages are received when LACP PDUs missed -"show lacp inetrafces "

    > show lacp statistics interfaces ge-5/3/9
warning: lacp subsystem not running - not needed by configuration.

When performing this command, it gives a warning... what is this? Does one had experience about this?

    Thanks

    Hi Folks,

Just my 2 cents on this…

The show lacp interfaces command returns the following error message if your system is not configured in either active or passive LACP mode:

warning: lacp subsystem not running - not needed by configuration.

    https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/junos/topics/reference/command-summary/show-lacp-interfaces.html

Which indicates the aggregate bundles are not configured for lacp.

You need to give reth (the one ge-5/3/9 is part of)
