    Hi,

I am looking to cross platform from Cisco to Juniper and was wondering if a SSG5 router/firewall would be suitable to get used to using the Junos IOS or would it be better to go for a SRX model?. I am a CCNP looking to certify on the Juniper certs.

    Thank you

Just to be sure there is an answer here.

The SSG series use ScreenOS from the Netscreen aquisition.

To study Junos you need an SRX device for the firewall/router or an EX device for switching.

Thank you, I've bought myself a SRX100B to get my head around everything now.
