  • 1.  VLAN tagging

    Hi All,

    What could be the issue if my EX4300 switch assign IP to the end device from a different VLAN (example VLAN10) where the port connect to the end device is configured with another VLAN( example VLAN20) from a DHCP server.

    We are suspecting it could be with the VLAN tagging can anyone suggest what could be other issue and any solution?

    Note: this is on only one Virtual chassis we do have 2 more VC where tis issue is not seen.

    If I understood you correctly your DHCP server is in vlan10 and devices that need dhcp is in vlan20. If that is the case you need dhcp relay configured on EX who will point devices to the DHCP server.
