  • 1.  Vitual chassis EX4400-24X

    Hello everyone,

     regarding an EX4400-24X switch, can a Virtual Chassis be formed using the 10G ports, or is it mandatory to use the 40/100G ports?

    Hi Mohammed,

    The EX4400 documentation states "10G speed/10-Gbps uplink module ports are not supported as Virtual Chassis ports."

    You may not want to run as low as 10G on the EX4400s as this may cause a bottleneck during uplink failures or if all members do not have uplink ports.

    Hi,

    By default, you only can use PIC1 for VCP port, PIC0 is not supported for VCP. If you have additional extension module for the switch (PIC2), you may convert it to VCP port by running a command in operational mode. 

    You may refer to the Juniper official guide for more information.
