    I would like to upgrade the firmware version of Juniper EX2300 and EX3400 to the latest version, will this path be suitable?

    Juniper EX2300 current version 21.1R1-S1.1 to newest 22.4R1
    Path upgrade ->22.1R1 and -> 22.4R1

    Juniper EX3400 current version 20.2R3-S2.5 to newset 22.4R1
    Path Upgrade 21.2R3->22.2R1 and->22.4R1

    In general you can jump up to 3 full versions (first major number change) but the details are found in the platform specific release notes for the target version.  In your case the EX platform supports the direct 3 version jump as noted here.
