Switching

Hi,

I am planning to have my 1st ever EX8208 switch with line cards such as EX8200-2XS-40T and EX8200-8XS. Any idea what would be "safe harbor" (golden image) JunOS version *with* and *without* VC-with-XRE ?.

The following links from Juniper sites doesn't tells me exactly which would be the golden image with above line cards:

We have very recently implemented EX 8208 in VC mode with 2 XRE and found the below version stable. but you have to be very carefull as to what feature you would like to implment, for Eg one of our important fetaure is Source Based filter which failed to work properly because of a Bug which is expected to get fixed in a months time. my recomendation would be to list out the key fetaures and discuss the same with TAC if you are going to use XRE...
