  • 1.  recommendation for using backup router in cluster configuration

    Hello,

    I would like to ask you about your advice/recommendation for using backup router in cluster configuration of SRX firewalls?

    I know the purpose of using of that according the KB of Juniper, but I would like to know your real experience, respectively which are alternative for this?

    Hello Rostislav,

    Backup router is to manage / monitor the secondary SRX in cluster. Because, when you need SNMP alerts or usage graphs from each device on cluster separately, then backup router is the way.
