    Hi,

I have a question concerning my certification,

I had a JNCIA-M/T certification which I hold since November 3,2008 and now its actual status is  INACTIVE ,and

according to juniper web  page https://www.juniper.net/us/en/training/certification/already-certified/recertification/,  I saw that I have the ability to take the JNCIS-SP exam , since my JNCIA-M/T certification status is inactive.

My question is : what is the validity period of  this status(INACTIVE)?? Is it till November 3,2011related to my certification date or till December 31,2011  which is the grace period???

I really need this information, because I am planning to take the JNCIS-SP Exam.

    Thanks

    Hi Besine,

JNCIA-Junos substitutes (JNCIA/S-M, JNCIA/S-ER and JNCIA-EX) will permanently stay in the Inactive status, as these are legacy certifications that cannot be recertified.

    Regards,

    Hi Tshield,

    Thank you for your reply,

but still not clear ,do you mean that my JNCIA-M/T certification will permanently stay in the Inactive status, even the date of this certification is NOV,3 2008??

Thank you a lot for your clarifications.

    Hi Besine,

Yes, that is correct. Your JNCIA-M will permanently stay in the Inactive status - it will not ever move to the Expired status. We have done this to accommodate those candidates who earned a substitute certification for the JNCIA-Junos, since there is no way to recertify those credentials anymore.

This will ensure you can always use your JNCIA-M as a substitute for the JNCIA-Junos.

Hope that helps to clarify your question!

    Regards,

    I have a similar situation...

I have my JNCIA-EX and it expires on 11-6-2011, but I recently earned my JNCIS-ENT on 3-25-2011.  From what the recertification table states on Juniper's website, I'm recertified by earning my JNCIS-ENT.  So will my JNCIA-EX become inactive but still allow me to pursue my JNCIS-SEC?

    Thank you for the clarification?

    Hello,

Yes, you will still be able to use your Inactive JNCIA-EX to fulfill the prerequisite requirement for the JNCIS-SEC.

    Thanks,
