  • 1.  [NSMXpress Fresh Install] Cannot access GUI with Java Client [OK for admin access]

    Posted 07-27-2010 06:06

    Hi all

This is my first experience with NSMXpress...

The aplliance is basically configured, but I cannot access it with the java client...the error is:

    "incorrect login parameters".

When I have a look in ssh at the HTTP logs, it said nothing at all, the logs are empty...the GUI is started.

I can access with https to the admin pages, no problem.

I also can access with SSH, and all the login/password I try are correct.

I've also tried with a wrong password, but still nothing in the log...

    The NSM version is 2008.2r2a.

    Could you help me?

You need to connect as the user super with the client, not admin.

Hi and thanks for you quick response.

But what do you mean for the user "super" ? As I've read, there're 3 users created during instalation: the super user "root", the user "admin" and the user "nsm".

I've tried with all of these users, with no success.

I've noticed another user, created during the upgrade process "cfmuser" ?

    Thanks

The inital administration account that is created during installation is called "super". So when you are connecting with the GUI, use the userid "super" and the password you supplied during installation.

The administration account (super) has nothing to do with the accounts on the server (root and nsm).

    Thanks!

Otherwise, I've never heard and read about this user "super"....this is the first time, and your post was very helpful!
