MX10003 diagnostic optic log: RX power low warning|alarm set|cleared

    Hi all,

    on Juniper MX10003 with Junos: 21.4R3-S2.3, I have a 100G juniper original optic that receive an alarm due to connectivity issue (fiber issue).

    It started to fill the logs with the alarms set and cleared:

    Sep 28 23:36:56.954 2023  mx10003 fpc0 qsfp-0/1/5 Chan# 3: Rx power low alarm set
    Sep 28 23:36:56.954 2023  mx10003 fpc0 qsfp-0/1/5 Chan# 3: Rx power low warning set
    Sep 28 23:37:34.081 2023  mx10003 fpc0 qsfp-0/1/5 Chan# 0: Rx power low alarm cleared
    Sep 28 23:37:34.081 2023  mx10003 fpc0 qsfp-0/1/5 Chan# 0: Rx power low warning cleared

    So we decide to disable the physical interface until the connectivity issue resolution to avoid the log messages, but the logs appear also with interface disabled:

    user@MX10003> show interfaces et-0/1/5  
    Physical interface: et-0/1/5, Administratively down, Physical link is Down

    Any idea why the mx10k3 continue to fill the logs with alarms also with interface disabled?
