    hi all,

     

    i need to connect my M10i router to cisco router through CSTM1, i know already that i need link service module, i searched on juniper and found that PE-MS-100-1 gives me that option.. my question

     

    1. how many E1 in every multilink i can have and how many multilinks

    2. can i connect it to cisco or not..

     MLPPP logically aggregates up to eight (8) E1/T1 so you can have up to 8.

     

    2. can i connect it to cisco or not..

     

    Yes, there were some specific commands that needed to be done, like turn off MLPPP fragmentation on both sides, and an MTU bug which affects only OSPF, but that's it. It might not, in your case....

    When it comes to multilink interfaces you can have more than 8. There is no hard limit on the JUNOS or device.

     8 E1s in each ?

    Yes, JUNOS software allows for up to eight physical interfaces to be assigned to a one multilink interface (bundle).
