Usually you take the JNCIE after years of practical experience and file editing is something that you will definitely need regularly (not just for Python) - that's why I asked. And indeed - this part is probably the easiest section of all time ;)

First of all, thank you very much for your answer because it really helped me. I can explain myself like this, I left the scripting part to my last weeks because it was simple and I didn't look at it because I'm good with Python. As you did, I asked chatgpt and when I saw vi, I thought that I was doing something wrong because we can't use anything other than what we were given in the exam. I didn't know that there was a code editor directly embedded in the device. I will take such an exam for the first time, you can appreciate that people can make mistakes in very simple things out of excitement and fear. And yes, I use the official Self Study Bundle and they don't explain it this way, they just say this is the truth.

Hi,
so you want to become a JNCIE in 2 weeks but literally don't know how to edit files on the devices and try to hammer the commands blindly into the shell-window??? - that doesn't make sense to me…
Thats just „weird" to say the least - especially since you could easily find the solution via google and / or ChatGPT (which makes it even worse) - are you sure you are ready for an E-Level exam? I'm not judging - it's just very weird that you don't know such a basic task at this stage of your training.
Anyways - here's the „solution" - are you using the official self study bundle?

The question asks me to run the script. There is a problem with the script. I can find out what this problem is. The script;
- % cd /var/db/scripts/commit/ with this command,
- lab@vmx1# run file show /var/db/scripts/commit/loopback I also read its content with this command,
- Then I detect that the name of the script is wrong and that's why it doesn't work,
- My problem is that I can't find how to change this script on vmx after finding the error.
The script is called /usr/bin/pythons but it should be /usr/bin/python for example. But I can't find how to rewrite it on the device. I'm attaching the pictures.
I paste it into notepad and fix the script, but when I paste it on the device in % mode, I get an error. I share the picture of this as an attachment.
I would be very happy if you can help me. Because I have two weeks left for the exam.
