    I have forgotten the root password from my NSM test appliance.

    How can I initiate a Factory Reset?

    This KB will assist you in recovering the root password

    To restore the box to factory defaults, you can use http://kb.juniper.net/KB10372.

    Don't forget to run through the inital setup (via admin login) or your upgrade will fail....

     

    I learned this the hard way... after three failed reset/upgrades.

    I'm stuck at step 12 for this KB. What exatly command "vi" to save the changes. Appreciate someone feedback
