    Hi,

I already have SRX210 and I am preparing for my JNCIS.

    QUESTIONS

    1. Do I need to buy EX2200-C for JNCIS if I already have SRX210

    2. What features in EX2200-C that didn't available in SRX210 and vice versa

I understand SRX is FW+Router which have VPN feature that didn't exist in EX.

How about ntp, dhcp server feature etc

    thanks

For the specialist level exams in ENT and SEC, i would say having the SRX alone would be sufficent for getting some hands on.  I'm not a user of the MX or service provider platforms, so I'm not sure how far the SRX can carry you there.  But I have seen descriptions from education and lab vendors that rent SRX labs for SP preparation.  So I would guess the SRX woudl be good for the JNCIS-SP too.

There are switching features not available on the SRX.  A good quick reference page for the EX feature set comparison by model is this feature overview page.

I did pick up an EX2200 for practice.  Nothing beats having lab gear for being able to experiment if you can afford it.
