    I need help, i keep getting error while i tried to add interface to a routing-instance 

    i'm using a vMX image 14.1R1 .10 on GNS3 . Suggestion would be welcome

    Why u use interface "em"? U should use interface "ge"

    The em interfaces are used internally to connect the RE to the internal ethernet switchboard. It can't be assigned to a routing interface.

    So what am i doing wrong ? The ge- interfaces are not showing when i show the interface terse . 

    Mind you am running it on a gns3

    So i removed the configuration on em interface and move it to ge interface  , what solution can you recommend?

    Hi Olalekan,

    Although I have not installed vMX on GNS3.0 yet, can you try reading section 2.2 of the blog https://brezular.com/2022/06/01/juniper-vmx-on-gns3/ and check if it is relevant to your problem? Also, can you check the output of "show chassis fpc pic-status" ?
