I have come across an issue on our Juniper MX10003 platform where I am unable to use 4 x 10G ER (1550nm) optics to connect backhaul network.
Our requirement involves connecting Multiple backhaul links of various distances to the MX10K. We are able to achieve connecting the shorter backhauls using 4x10G LR using breakout modules. Although for longer distance backhauls we have to connect an additional switch to the MX10K and terminate the backhauls using SFP+ 10G ER optics.
Is there a way that I can eliminate the Switch and get the longer backhauls terminated directly into the MX10K? I could not find 4x10G ER (1550nm) although 1330nm is available.
What's the best solution to cater this problem?
