    Hi Team,

Planning to move from virtual chassis to ESI-LAG on EX4600-40F. Is is even possible? does the platform support ESI-LAG?

You can use the Juniper Feature explorer tool to see which platform and Junos version supports a feature.

This is Simplified configuration for ESI LAGs with EVPN dual-homing, which does NOT include ex4600

    https://apps.juniper.net/feature-explorer/feature-info.html?fKey=12039&fn=Simplified+configuration+for+ESI+LAGs+with+EVPN+dual-homing

If you are looking at different elements of ESI LAG you would use the search or platform browse.

    Hi Vivek,

I knew the 4400 series did the ESI-LAG, so presumed the 4600 would, but I’d go off the link Steve has provided as on here the 4600 doesn’t support this feature.

Apologies, I was also not aware of this portal so thanks Steve for that!

    Hi Vivek,

I do believe the EX4600 should be able to support ESI-LAGs.

However, I'm not able to see much online other than this video I've copied below to configure ESI-LAG on a Juniper device; it may be worth following this and the commands to see if the EX4600 supports the ESI-LAG:

If this doesn't work, it might be checking this article from Juniper to see if this CLI syntax is what you need:

    HTH,
