So, long story short, in logical system you completely dedicate some interfaces or other resources to it. Therefore, each logical system is independent and managed separately. While routing instance is a separate RIB (either L2 or L3). Depending on the resource of the platform, you can deploy several logical systems and run them as independent routers, interconnect and so on.

Subject: Differences between routing instances and logical systems.
Hi all.
Do routing instances and logical systems have different use cases?
For example, what would be the difference in use cases between a routing instance (of type virtual-router) and a logical system. When would I use one instead of the other?
Thanks,
Deepak
