  • 1.  Connectivity issue with logical interface with multiple address families

    Please see inserted image below for topology.  (The topology below is based on a real network but has been sanitized).

    Having a strange issue where we can route to and ping  multiple address families with the exception of one .   Configuration for unresponsive address family appears to be the same as those that are responsive.  

    From what I have read the device can support multiple address families.  So it is not suspected that we are hitting an upper limit for number of address families configured.

    I haven't been able to fully rule out an issue with the aggregation group yet.

    I have deleted and recreated the problematic address family, that didn't help.

    Also, can ping problematic address family(10.1.6.1) from EX4200 switch.  But cannot ping it from test device).  Traceroute shows success up to EX4200 from test device for problematic addr family.  We do have routes to 10.1.6.0 on all of the relevant devices.

    Any tips or hints would be greatly appreciated.

    Update: config and logic are fine.  Root cause was identified as acl on ISP router for outbound packets.
