  • 1.  Configure Multicast sender & receiver using LSYS with vMX

    Hello,

    I'm preparing myself for JNCIP-SP. I would like to setup multicast network using LSYS with vMX. Multicast sender & receiver will be also LSYS. The network diagram look like shown below :

    Assume that R5 & R6 are members of multicast group 224.0.7.7. 

    I configured PIM spare mode in R1,R2 & R3 interfaces. R2 is RP. My concern is  to know  which configuration required so that multicast traffic could flow from R4 to R5 & R6.

    Hello Besscou

    In a usual scenario, we would expect joins to come from the receiver hosts to the router. But for your lab, you can try configuring static joins on R5 and R6 interfaces
