What does conductor-address under authority do?

The conductor-address under the authority config is the 128T Conductor's public IP address. This is the IP address that all managed 128T Routers will use to connect to the 128T Conductor. This field is not required but I highly recommend using it. This configuration field is dynamic so changing a conductor-address will automatically trigger all managed routers to tear down their existing connections to the Conductor and create new connections to the new IP addresses. If the newly configured IP addresses are incorrect then the Conductor will lose connection to its managed routers so please double check to ensure the IP addresses are correct and reachable by the managed routers!

Currently targeted for release 4.3.0 is a router config override to the conductor-address field. This field is used when specific managed 128T Routers will use a different IP address to reach the Conductor. The main use case for the router override is a head end router in front of a 128T Conductor. All managed routers will connect to the IP addresses specified at the authority level conductor-address, which is actually the public IP address of the head end router. The head end router will then redirect this traffic directly to the Conductor. The head end router will configure a router level conductor-address, which will tell the head end router to connect to the private IP address of the Conductor. Keep an eye on the release notes to see when this feature arrives in production!

If you are having connectivity issues between your 128T Conductor and a managed 128T Router then I recommend checking out this blog post:
