  • 1.  Are there any base install packages which need to be installed manually, that are not automatically installed with release 3.1.10?

I am used to issue this command when I do a fresh 128T device install: ¾ [Start code block] sudo yum install -y dialog wget tcpdump lshw bash-completion net-tools yum-utils epel-release createrepo [End code block]Are there still any packages in that command that are not already covered by the 3.1.10 install script?

Please also note that when we moved the installer to an RPM downloaded via YUM, there are dependency checks in place for any essential packages required to run the installer (dialog, epel-release, etc). Thus any package required to run or install 128T do not have to be pre-downloaded and installed separately. This greatly speeds up the installation process.

As Adam pointed out, some of the other packages (tcpdump, lshw, bash-completion) are helpful troubleshooting tools in Linux outside of 128T.

Isn?t lshw also part of standard install in 3.1.10? Or is that coming in Element?

As part of the 128T ISO, all of these packages are now installed as well. Most of these packages are used for additional troubleshooting purposes in Linux outside of 128T.
