Video: 4. Building the Fabric - Apstra 4.2.1 in eve-ng
Video hashtag: #4.2.1_eve_video-4
This is the big one!
We'll start by defining Logical Devices that act as the abstraction of physical hardware within the fabric. These LD's are at the heart of what enables Apstra to function as a multi-vendor fabric orchestrator.
We'll then create Interface Maps by combining Logical Devices and the Device Profiles we created in the last video. This builds a bridge between the physical hardware, the logical representation, and the interface capabilities available for use within the DC Fabric.
With all of the abstraction pieces in place, we'll move on to building Rack Types, logical representations of a DC rack elevation diagram. These Rack Types are then combined with a logical topology in a Template that serves as the foundation for our Blueprint - the fully-defined, initial Intent of your DC fabric.
Once created, we'll assign resources and lab virtual nodes to our DC-A and DC-B Blueprints and finish the video two deployed, working EVPN-VXLAN 3-stage fabrics.
