  • 1.  LACP Link protection

    Posted 11-12-2009 04:20

    Hi there,

Is there a way to tell which port is active when using link protection on LACP between a 4200 and 3200? The monitor traffic only shows LACP and uni-directional IP traffic on one port and the other only shows only LACP, so I guess that the second one is the active one but is there a way to verify this?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    "show lacp interfaces"

    "show interface ae0 detail"

    Kind Regards

If this worked for you please flag my post as an "Accepted Solution" so others can benefit. A kudo would be cool if you think I earned it.

    Hi Mike

Thank you. That works on the 4200 but not on the 3200. The 3200 doesn't supply stats for the seperate interfaces so you cannot deduce which one is active.

What I was really wondering was if there was a command which would utilise the flag settings used by the "request interface switchover aex" which will monitors which link is active.

    Thanks

    Hi,

command is the same for EX4200 and EX3200. If you do not get any output on EX3200 then no LACP is configured on it.

    Kind Regards

The relevant parts of the config are attached.

It looks like the LACP is working but no output from the command.

The 3200 is running 9.3R2.8 and the 4200 is on 9.6R1.13 (all 3 chassis).

    regards
