    hi
Based on documentation, MPC10E cannot be installed on slot#0,1,11 in MX960 but we can install MPC7E-10G on all slots.
My question is can I use slots 0,1,11 on MX960 for MPC7E-10G and othe slots for MPC10E at the same time?
    By MPC10E I meant 10x100GE and MPC7E I meant 40x10GE
    I use SCB3-MX
    Thank you
    Alireza

According to configuration tool, it is ok for you install MPC7 in the slot 0, 1, 11, and other slot for MPC10 at same time.

    Hi Asoltanian,

On MX960 routers, all the MPC slots can be occupied by MPC7E-10G at an ambient temperature of up to 40° C and at any altitude. All the MPC slots can be occupied by MPC7E-10G at temperatures of up to 55° C and at sea level. At an ambient temperature of 55° C and above, and at an altitude above sea level, slot 11 cannot host MPC7E-10G. For more info you can go through the below links.

    The final conclusion:

1- We can install MPC7E-10G on all slots

2- We can instal MPC10E-C-MRATE on all slots except 0,1,11

3- both Card can be install on Chassis at the same time considering above restrictions

4- Ambient temperature is a factor to be consider

    Is this OK?
