  • 1.  Stub and NSSA

    Hello guys,

     

    I am currently studying for my Juniper exams and one topic I always got confused at which is OSPF areas.

     

    I need to create an area which should advertise external routes but it should not receive external routes from another area.

     

    I believe it is NSSA. Can someone help me with this?

    Yes, You are correct.

    In NSSA area, only LSA1, LSA2 LSA3 and LSA7 are allowed. 

    ABR convert type 7 to type 5 when P bit is set. 

     

    You can test totally-NSSA where only LSA1, LSA2, LSA7 and one default-route (Summary LSA).
