I came across a nice post on Traffic Protection on MPLS (RSVP)

I have one question about the diagram in that post.
There is an LSP r1-r7 (r1-r3-r6-r5-r7)

    Part 2. Link Protection
The example configured link-protection to protect the link between r5 and r7.
My question is whether I should configure all the rsvp -enabled interfaces with link-protection on all the transit routers from ingress to egress routers, or only on the interfaces facing each other between r5 and r7.

I like to know which interfaces are exactly enabled with link-protection.

From my lab, it seems only the interface fe-0/0/1 on R5 facing R7 needs to have link-protection enabled.

Like to get some confirmation from more experienced people here.

thanks a lot in advance !!

Correct.  Only R5's R7-facing interface needs to be configured for link-protection. This is because LSPs are unidirectional.

    One more question to bother.

If the LSP r1-r7 (r1-r3-r6-r5-r7) is with an admin-group (Say Blue).  The bypass LSP has to be the same admin-group (Blue) ?

    thanks !!
