EX4400 with ex4400-em-4s not operating at 1gb, works as 10gb

    Short and quick:

    deployed new EX4400's with the EX4400-EM-4S (1g/10g) modules, and connected a 1Gb SFP link.

    The link worked in the last switch, so we know the fiber and optics are good.

    Getting the following log message:

    Dec 19 09:31:04.862 2022 switchname fpc0 CMQFX: FPC0:PIC2:PORT1 Default (10g) config on port but XCVR doesn't support 10g speed. IFD creation skipped

    Anyone using this configuration and know what might be going on?

    I already tried to force the speed:

    user@switch # set interfaces ge-02/0/0 1g

    did you try 

    set fpc fpc-slot pic pic-number port port-number speed 1G


    we brought up our first ex4400 w/ ex4400-em-4s at 1g by adding that command.  check your log messages for "mix_rate_support" type messages
