I assume you noticed that the
Junos SR 15.1R7-S6 is listed in the Juniper kb as the general recommendation. And that some platforms also say "latest release" but the ex4550 does not.https://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB21476My experience is that when latest release is not included there have been specific major bugs covered in the particular release recommended and that this is typically a service release as this on is. So before moving to latest release you would need to confirm that the service release bug fixes are all rolled into the desired latest release. This will usually be the case but can be hard to confirm. You need to find the PR numbers and verify the fixed release list for those bugs. You find the bugs and PR numbers in the release notes for the recommended service release. If they are not called out in the latest release then look up the PR in the bug database and confirm they are covered by the latest release.

This message was posted by a user wishing to remain anonymous
Hi,
Can someone guide me what is the Recommended Junos version for EX4550-32F switch, as you know EX4550 is End of Life.
We have basic configuration like Static and OSPF routing, Vlans, LACP, NTP TACACS+ etc.
Should i upgrade to Junos 15.1R7.9 or Junos SR 15.1R7-S6 or anythingelse ?
Thankyou
Cheers
