Hi
I was checking the features of MX routers, Looking for PBR support on MX routers. There are two types of PBR on JunOS:
- FRF
- APBR

According to Feature Explorer, FRF is supported on MX:
But APBR is not supported on MX and it is only supported on SRX.
My questions:
- Does FRF mean routing from a specific Source IP address toward a specific Interface or next-hop IP address?
- Is this supported on IPv6 as well?
- The source traffic should be IP address or can it be Layer-4 information as well for example: "send all HTTP  GETTraffic to a specific IP address or Interface "

Filter based forwarding (FBF) can do source routing and if frequently used for that purpose.  But it is really open to any firewall filter criteria.  the filter in the name is any firewall filter you create to match traffic.

The limits are just what is supported in firewall filters in general.  There are less feature options in ipv6 but any you can configure can be used.
