  • 1.  How best to replace Routing-engine on MX480

    Hello,

    We were running on EoL RE-S-1300 engines and would like to replace with new ones. the chassis we are having is mx480. 
    since the two REs are on different software versions, can we slot the new one and make it slave and populate configs and sync between the two ? Also can we keep the OLD one as slave once the new RE is up and running on the same chassis or the two REs need to run same versions to work as master/slave. 

    what shall we consider to avoid outages.
