Subject: VMX SR-IOV on ESXI not working
This message was posted by a user wishing to remain anonymous
HI,
I have setup vCP & vFP using vmx Junos: 19.4R3-S8.6. if I setup all the interface using E1000 and lite-mode, all just working fine.
But when I change all the interface to use the SR-IOV, the FPC can not be online, it always on testing.
does any one have success setup using SR-IOV on ESXI?
I use Intel NIC X550, ESXI 6.7U3, I have follow the juniper kb Enabling SR-IOV for VMwareJuniper | remove preview |
| Enabling SR-IOV for VMware | You can configure VLAN tagging on SR-IOV interfaces on vMX instance deployed in VMware ESXi host with the following steps:: We've used the hardware and software combination for the following procedure: VMware ESXi version 6.5 Update 3 i40en driver version 1.10.6 for Intel 700 Series network adapters Firmware version 7.20 for Intel 700 Series network adapters Enter the CLI configuration mode after logging in to the vMX. | View this on Juniper > |
