    Hi.

Let's say I have three Leaf VTEPs -  L1, L2 and L3. L2 and L3 are multihoming the same ethernet segment, and so are both advertising Type 1 per-EVI route for that ethernet segment. So when L2 advertises a Type 2 route containing on of that ethernet segment's MAC addresses, L1 installs a MAC table entry towards that MAC address with VTEP tunnels to both L2 and L3 as next hops. This would be called aliasing.

My question is – for L1 to perform this aliasing, does its BGP overlay configuration need to be configured with multipath?

    Thanks,

    Deepak
