  • 1.  BGP Advertise a BGP route not present in the routing table

    Hi

Is is possible in Juniper to advertise routes not existed in the routing table ?
Like in FortiGate it is possible with:
    set network-import-check disable
But I couldn't find in Juniper command other than:
set protocols bgp group XYZ advertise-inactive
And it is not doing the job. Maybe because it is only for inactive routes and not for totally non existed routes.

A route must be in the table to be advertised.

Typically you would create either a local static route or aggregate route for the prefix not normally in the table and then create the appropriate policy for that.

    Yeah that I know
I was only wondering if there is an option to force the Juniper router to advertise route not existed in the table.
For now I'm advertising using the lo0 interface witch creates direct routes
    Anyway, Thanks Steve :)
