  • 1.  VRRP with more than one Network Interface ?

    SSR Version 5.4.6-9
I have a lot Network Interfaces (with different Vlan) in the same Device Interface

Do you know if it's possible to use VRRP on all Network Interface ?  It does not seem possible to me .. because in the VRRP configuration of the Device Interface we must indicate one VLAN

VRRP is a layer 2 protocol so it does need to be configured for each broadcast domain separately.

    Hi Eric,

The VRRP priority and related configuration are defined on the device interface on the SSR. We can use any VLAN associated with one of the network interfaces in the device interface VRRP configuration.
VRRP parameters like VRRP priority, advertisement interval, etc., will be applicable for all the network interfaces, although we used only one VLAN in configuring the device interface.
This means that all the network interfaces associated with the device interface will be VRRP active even if the VRRP priority has been set higher on that device interface for one of the VLANs only.
