    Hello guys

I was looking for a replacement for our backbone mixed virtual chassis switches which includes 2x EX4550 and 4x EX4200 , which all EOL announced according to https://support.juniper.net/support/eol/product/ex_series/
But according to the same website, it appears that many of EX series switches are EOL announced.

What do you suggest for me if I'm searching for non EOL announced mixed virtual chassis that includes at least two 48 RJ45 (ge-) port switches, and two 48 or 32  optic (xe-)port switches including at least 4 100g port in an additional module ?

I believe the replacement product for 4550 is 4650.

And for the 4200 would be the 4300

    Thanks Steve
But 4300 is also announced as EOL
Even if not, it cannot be combined with 4650 in mixed virtual chassis
4650 seems to be answering the "optic (xe-)port switches including at least 4 100g ports", but could it be combined with another RJ45 ports switch ?
According to this https://manuals.plus/m/27a03f125bd40133d0f1d4e626664eeb16afc2025c9ab6975913daa20e43b8f8_doc , page 11 , it is not.

    Hi Abed,

EX4650Y support RJ45. Just plug in SFP copper. You can check on path finder. EX4200 --> EX4400 / EX4100.

    Thanks

EX4650 could be a viable replacement, with the caveat that it does not support mixed-mode VC operation, and the switch itself only supports 24x 1Gb SFP transceivers. Therefore four EX4650 switches and 96x copper SFP's must be purchased to fulfill the port count requirements.
