Technology is often seen as a younger persons sector but I am a 50 year old man who has always enjoyed technology and had been trying to break into networking for a good few years.

I obtained my CCENT (1st part of CCNA) about 6 years ago. Wasn't able to get my foot in the door anywhere though but luckily I got a job with a small ISP 2 years ago working in Customer Support. I made it known to my employer that networking was where I wanted to be and 12 months ago I moved into a NOC role. I still wanted to progress further though so decided to go the certification path and didn't want to follow the standard Cisco route as more to networking than Cisco!

I saw Juniper were offering free training for the JNCIA so used that and obtained my JNCIA late last year. I am now working towards my JNCIS-SP with the help of CBT Nuggets. Chris Parkers blog has been helpful as has Christian Scholz EVE-NG advice. Hopefully, be able to book my exam within the next month and reach the next stage. When I first started JunOS it was a learning curve and coming from a Cisco background you can initially think what the hell is the software! That soon passes though and you realise how good JunOS is. It really does set the standard.

I started my journey with Cisco, however the opportunity to meet new vendors presented itself and I decided to follow the Juniper path!

Why Juniper? because the operating system is robust and flexible at the same time, its architecture offers endless configurations, backups, high availability among other features.

Today I am certified in JNCIA-Junos and preparing for the JNCIS-ENT. The differential that Juniper offers is that you have high quality and free study materials, as well as support in the forums and communities. Juniper Learning Portal has helped me during my certification journey and I hope to become a JNCIE-ENT.

Lockdown! The word all of us have come to know, and for some, perhaps the reality is still fresh and familiar.

Lockdown gave me time to reflect on where I wanted my future to head and to make a fresh start on my career 'one we return to normal'… For some, it was a hard time, but for me, I chose to make it into something positive. And there it all started…

As many others in the industry, I have been certified with Cisco for over 10+ years holding many of their certifications. During lockdown I began to research and investigate ways to further my IT Career. My focus has been Networking for many years and I thought about branching out into other fields, Programming, Security, etc. but I felt that I was yet to truly master the field. Yes, Cisco is a big player in the industry, but Juniper is also right up there. I felt that I needed to know more.

During lockdown, I began to explore the world of Juniper certification, stumbling upon the 'free' training resources available through the Juniper Learning Portal. From there, I was able to study for JNCIA-Junos, JNCIA-Sec, JNCIA-Cloud, and JNCDA through a structured and convenient online training approach. It was so simple, I just had to create an online account to get started! I had everything at my disposal, online videos, slides and the entire Juniper library with CLI examples on how to configure key aspects. Everything I needed to complete my Juniper study was available and free. I would suggest getting a hold of the Juniper virtual images to have some hands-on lab time. Once my study was complete, I was also able to undertake the exams at a significantly discounted rate (75% off!) and become certified in each category. By the time Lockdown was over, I was Juniper certified and set myself on a new career path in Juniper Networks.

There is always light at the end of the tunnel, and hopefully this post gives others inspiration to achieve during these tough times.

First of all, I like to thank Juniper Training and Certification program for this nice learning environment and all the people in this community for their generous help.
I started with Juniper SRX many years ago and got a couple of certs.  For last a few years, we migrated from Cisco and HP to Juniper. I was involved in more and more Juniper deployment and operation.  Since the second half of 2020, I decided to start my Juniper Training and Certification Journey again.  By the end of Nov. 2020, I finished my JNCIP (ENT, DC and SP) and moved to JNCIE. So far, I  finished JNCIE-ENT (#883) and JNCIE-DC (#474), and working for my JNCIE-SP.  All these challenges make myself feel younger  (I am 67)  and my life more exciting.

    thanks a million !!

Where do I start? It was a warm, sunny day when little Christian (okay - maybe too far back - skipping to the best part)
I started my Juniper-Career 11years ago. I was an apprentice back then and already had my CCNA when one of my colleagues told me "Juniper is the new hotness". Getting the permission to visit my first 5-day-course as an apprentice (never happened before because of the investment costs for apprentices) changed my Career forever. Obviously back then I didn't know that. I took the "Security Bootcamp" and while the course still happened (on Day3) I already took the JNCIA-JunOS during my Lunch-break... ...and passed :D  Later I followed my security passion and obtained my JNCIS-SEC, followed by the P-SEC.

I joined Dimension Data and got in touch with the AWESOME folks from JuniperCertify. They welcomed me and always told me to never give up and pursue my dreams. I gained more and more knowledge (and Certifications) and in 2018 became the first-ever Juniper Ambassador from Germany :) Needless to say, I'm extremely proud to be recognized as Ambassador and to be able to use this position to help the community and my customers even more. My dream was always to give something back to the community - I started working on my JNCIE-SEC and got in touch with EVE-NG. Since then I gave lots of sessions in order to help folks to start labbing and get certified - so that you can experience the very same career boost that I got. After 4 attempts I finally got my JNCIE-SEC. This showed me one thing: NEVER GIVE UP! No matter how often you fail - if you try your best, you can only win at some point :)

In my opinion (coming from a Partner background) the J-Community is by far the best and most helpful. Not only does Juniper help you wherever they can - the community itself almost always has a helping hand. I see the communities of Cisco, Aruba, PaloAlto, and Fortigate almost every day - but they all have to step up if they ever want to have such a great and caring community as Juniper has :) I'm currently working on my JNCIE-ENT. In parallel, I will get my JNCIP-Cloud this year, enabling me the status of "ALL-A", "ALL-S" and "ALL-P". Obviously, I will not stop until I hold every Certification in existence (including all the E's). By joining Axians I have a strong Partner who enables me to follow this goal - a great place to work :) For inspiration, I look up to folks like Stefan Fouant and Yasmin Lara who are not only technically exceptional but also great people with the heart at the right place. Being a part of this community is just awesome!
Thank you CertTeam and Community for being my "Job-Family" :)

I am avid learner of new technology and always try to spare time to attend open learning juniper meetings where i can learn new technology.  I am JNCIP-SP certificed and pursuing JNCIE-SP certification .  As we all know most of the industries are going towards Cloud adoption and its very interesting technology. I got nice platform to begin my carrer using Juniper Platform. I have achieved certification of JNCIA-CLOUD,  JNCIS-CLOUD  beginning of 2022. I had enrolled into  JNCIA-CLOUD open learning course last year and learned lot of cloud technology terms that Juniper uses and have read lot of Juniper Contrail books including Cloud Automation using Contrail (CAC),  Day-one-containers-kubernetes-contrail,  DO_ContrailUR.  I have read lot of online articles on how kubernetes work/ components, VMware NSX  intergration with contrail, , SDN technology and OpenStack Components, Northstar product and last but not least Data Center technology concepts.   I am currently pursuing JNCIP CLOUD certification and eventually JNCIE-CLOUD.  Ofcourse with all of this, I read use cases of Juniper Contrail where you get lot of insights how the end customers use the product.

It helps a lot when i have had lot of juniper training in Juniper Service provider track and using those training I had achieved JNCIP-SP.  I have used  juniper vLABs for lab purposes while preparing for JNCIP-SP. and currently using for JNCIP Cloud track.

I started my journey with Juniper around 2 years ago due to  job demands. Starting with JNCIA Junos, and continuing with JNCIS-SP. All I can say is that Juniper really does provide the required course material for certification. This helped me because I used Cisco before. Helped me in implementing my knowledge on Cisco to Juniper products.

Open learning itself makes my certification easier. Finally, I took the JNCIP-SP exam by studying video tutorials from CBT Nuggets, Udemy,  and Youtube, but it was a shame because on that day I had to install it at the customer's place, and couldn't reschedule because of the voucher time limit. But in the future I will try to take the exam again.

For colleagues who are starting to work with Juniper, you can use the Open Learning Portal, which provides various materials, especially associate level, and discounts up to 75% for associate level. The certification does give me confidence on my skills

    Dear Community Members,
I am a 45 year old man who has always enjoyed Juniper technologies and applied those skills into my day to day Project Management work managing a customer facing role in my present organization.

I have cleared the CCNA exam in the year of 2010 which is almost 11 years ago from now. From that point of time I was in search of world class network certification vendor/organizations who can take my skills one level forward. The opportunity came from Juniper and during last year 2021 itself, I have cleared 3 Associate Level exams which was in offer with 75% rebate on the total exam fees and that was really awesome packed with all on-demand/free learning resources that Juniper was able to offer for all. Now that I am managing Telecom Infra Delivery for multiple complex customers across Globe, it has become invariably important to enhance my skill set of demanding cloud/switch/routing technologies one step forward and thus take my career one level up where I am right now.  The  juniper certifications I cleared during last 1 year, has boosted my confidence. It has also been appreciated by the management of my present organization. Unlike Cisco, Juniper has been kind enough to provide certification exams on discounted fees and some time even they offer NO fee at all if one competes certain contests. Luckily, I was given a free voucher last year during one such contest and was able to clear the Security Specialist examination which  would have cost me hundreds of dollars and that was of great help from Juniper.  I am still on a spree to progress my career further though so I have decided to go with the certification path of Juniper once again with its offerings rather than going with other certification vendors.  Juniper has also been able to prove its duties and obligations towards CSR  by offering free certification courses and webinars.

Additionally, having been new to the terms of the JUNOS-OS and how it works, the recorded webinars from the skilled instructors did help me to clear majority of the confusions. I gained confidence by going through the lectures again and again under the free certification resource libraries.

Having been said that now I am JUNOS Certified Associate and Security Specialist, I am looking to enhance my skillset on Cloud  Security specialization with a hope that free exam vouchers from Juniper can be again allotted to me and I clear such exam once again with help of the on-demand/recorded extracts of the webinars.

Certification Journey with Juniper is awesome till now and I thank once again for all your support and help rendered and also a big thank you to the community as a whole.

    Regards
    Suman

I started my internship hunt in spring 2010. Being a fresher, I was very confused in determining what job function, role or company I should seek during my search for a summer internship. It seemed like a difficult task at the time. The only thing that was clear in my mind was that I wanted something different. During my quest to find a perfect internship, I spent a lot of time on internet. One fine day, I came across the job opening for System Engineering – Technical Sales Intern at Swift Networks. The job description in the post included everything I was looking for, right from the balance of technical and communicational skills to the opportunity of working on some bleeding edge technologies like Software Defined Networking. I always wanted something that uses my inquisitive nature to learn the most recent technologies coming in the market and gives me the ability to make an impact on the business. This job role was exactly what I was looking for!

I applied to the position, went through 2-3 rounds of interviews and needless to say, my journey with Swift Networks began...  Juniper Networks offers high-performance network solutions to help service providers, enterprises and the public sector create value and accelerate success. What differentiates Juniper from the competition is the company's flexibility and the way it brings an innovative approach to every challenge in the Telecommunication industry. This has enabled the company to get ahead of the biggest players in the industry who have failed to adapt to the times.

Today I am certified in JNCIA-Cloud and preparing for the JNCIS-Cloud. The differential that Juniper offers is that Juniper have high quality and free study materials, as well as support in the forums and communities. Juniper Learning Portal has helped me during my certification journey and I hope to become a JNCIE-ENT one day.

    Best regards.

I came across Juniper Networks in 2021 and at that time I did not know Juniper Networks that much. So started searching about Juniper training and certifications and I found they have an amazing learning portal so I started looking where to start and I came to know their JNCIA-Junos training which is free on the Juniper Learning Portal (https://learningportal.juniper.net/juniper/default.aspx). At first, I thought it would be difficult but believe me when I started watching the training videos it started to become easy. You know what's the best thing for me in Juniper as compared with other Network vendors, that is Juniper Unified OS that is amazing and I am very surprised that I only know MX router configuration but we can configure interfaces/features in the same way on other Juniper devices like SRX firewall and it became possible because of their Unified OS. I have completed my JNCIA-Junos and JNCIS-ent within 4 months and it became possible because of their Juniper learning portal. Once again they have very good certification prepration material on the site. Right now I am preparing for the next certification which is JNCIA-Sec. I am encouraging everyone out there just check out their Juniper learning portal and complete your training and pass their assessment test to get a 75% of discount voucher and get certified. Happy Learning!!!

I´ve been working with Cisco and some other vendors like Aruba and Dell since 6 years ago. The configuration logic behind each O.S has been basically similar and for that reason, easier to understand. But what I found difficult about the learning curve for each of these vendors, is that there aren´t free official access to practice on real software, so I had to learn how to use third party emulators to improve my skills and understanding of each technology.

I work for an IT consulting company and some time ago, I had to make a migration of core switches at the client side, they were changing their old devices for a new ones Juniper. It was my first time working with Juniper and I believed the O.S was similar to the other vendors until I started practicing with it, It surprised me that Juniper has its very own configuration logic and differs from clasical vendors. I started making my own research and self learning and I was impressed of how Juniper give free access to its offical resources and Labs (Juniper Open Learning and vlabs), all I needed to learn and practice was Juniper official material. Some time later I finished with the migration and It was very satisfaying, I find out Juniper devices are really fast and its modular software its really stable and flexible (it can integrate easily with python, for example!). In addition, the Juniper community is very active and not only that, JTAC is very helpful too, they've all been sharp on Juniper devices, it´s not a surprised that they are positioned as a leader in Gartner´s Magic Quadrant.

I´m JNCIA-Junos certified now and looking forward to to pursue JNCIS-ENT and JNCIP-ENT subsequently. For people that is looking for improve their careers and stay active in this field I advice you to follow Juniper certification track it is woth it

I'm a Network Engineer working in the Telecom industry, and I like to have knowledge to resolve technical issues. My first approach to Juniper was 2 years ago with vSRX and vMX, it was challenging as a Cisco guy, however, Juniper Training Portal and Technical documentation was enough to comply with project requirements and deliver the project on time.  At the beginning the Juniper platform was difficult for me, although, when you read and understand the way it works it's very easy and you get familiar with all the syntax and commands.

After that, I decided to start formally my Juniper Certification path, first I took JNCIA DevOps certification last year where I learnt how to apply automation tools for networking, it helps me a lot on my daily job because I manage multiple sites and network devices. This year I've gotten the JNCIA-Junos and I jumped into the JNCIS-ENT Certification, as I work with Routing and Switching now, I'm planning to prepare the next level certification such as JNCIP-ENT or JNCIP-DC.

Also, as a partner of Juniper I'm taking some courses regarding Juniper Apstra and Deployment of IP Fabric for DCs, it's amazing the tools and software that Juniper has for EVPN-VXLAN technology compared with other vendors.

Thanks Juniper to share knowledge and keep updated on the Network technology!

I started my Juniper certification path too many years ago: my first JNCIA was a "M" in 2005, and when I discovered the Juniper way to teach things through glorious Sybex books, I soon achieved JNCIS-M and JNCIP-M and abandoned the previous Cisco certification path. I felt in love with how things where described: a long dissertation on standards, and after that how Junos adheres to them, with many real-life scenarios. After reading all four glorious Sybex JNCIx Study Guides, I wasn't able to read a Cisco guide anymore (too much Cisco centric information).

After then, a long career in many paths: JNCIA/S/P-FW, JNCIA/S/P-EX/ENT, SSL, IDP achieved through regular instructor led classes. After learning academy went online, I became an eager reader and make the leap to presale and sale territory, eventually achieving the Ingenious Champion status.

Recently, due to homeworking being the new normal, I started to register to as much as possible webinars, online workshops, at every work shift: and I must admit that Juniper shined in comparison to other brands!!! The last year I attended 4 full length courses (DevOPS, Datacenter, Design, Service Provider) being comfortably sit at home, and adding new badges to my wall!

I owe Juniper in very extent, since during these years I succeeded in staying ahead of the curve thanks to their learning paths and online academy: it's been being a continuous school, where I learned new technologies and market hypes. That reflected to my way of working, and my company and its customers received a benefit from that.

My goal for 2022 is to stay here, above the edge, reaching for new technologies (Wireless, AI) and scenarios (Cloud). Hope I can succeed!

    Best regards

I started my career as a NOC engineer working in a Service Company supporting Juniper Netscreen product line, spent 5 years.
Joined Juniper in 2014 and supported Juniper Security Product line SRX, vSRX etc
Transitioned into Cloud Domain in 2019 supporitng Juniper SDWAN, SDN product line.

At each juncture of my career with Juniper which is ~13 years now, I pursued Juniper certification as an indicator of my learning while I do my job.
Certified uptill JNCIP level when I was supporting Netscreen FW
Certified uptill JNCIE level when I was supporing SRX FW
    Re-Certified my JNCIE-Security last year.
Certified uptill JNCIP level at present & preparing for my JNCIE-CLoud Exam.

Each Level Associate | Specialist | Professional | Expert, gives a differnt set of challange to an individual technical knowledge of the domain.
In all I like the Expert level the most as the same is Hands-on and really tests your patience, determination to fix real problems while the time is ticking for the Exam.

    Methods I use for preperation:-
    - Instructor led trainings and On-demand trainings material provided as reference.
    - Prepare Labs on JCL or on a virtualized platform is hwo I feel we can learn the best way for any level.

Certification to me is not just an exam, it is a test of your knowledge as to how you understood it so that you apply it correctly be it to design/maintain/debug in real world

I started my career in networking with Cisco CCNA (as most of the network engineers I believe). I thought Cisco devices were best until I started working with Juniper MX routers. Now, I can say that JunOS is definitely the best structured, intuitive and most reliable Network OS.

The most recent Juniper certification I obtained is JNCIS-ENT, it helped me a lot to get my current job, because the company's network is on Juniper devices.
One of the reasons I love Juniper is that they provide all necessary study resources on https://learningportal.juniper.net like Certification Preparation Videos and Day One Books. For labs, I would recommend EVE-NG (one of the best network emulation software).
Associate Level Certifications offered for FREE are really helpful for a Junior network engineer

Being part of the J-community gives me the opportunity to find answer to technical problems or questions related to training and certifications.
This year I intend to obtain the professional certification from Juniper Enterprise track, and hope to become a JNCIE certified engineer in the next 2 years :)

During the last pandemic and the health situation that oblige many of employees to work remotely ,  I decided to develop skills in networking and I saw the Juniper Certificate discount ,so I decided  to start my journey with Juniper.

My first certificate was JNCIA-JUNOS  where I got a general skills about Juniper devices and how to connect and manipulate of different devices. then I moved to security to develop skills in this filed I got JNCIA-SEC where this certificate was help me in my daily work because I work in project where all firewall is SRX series .
My third certificate was JNCIA-Cloud where I got an associate level about cloud technologies , cloud types, SDN, SDWAN,....
Then I wanted to go deeper and learn more about Enterprise routing  and switching and prepared JNCIS-ENT where I got  more information and developed skills in routing and switching  that helped me in my daily work.

Actually I am trying to learn more about security and I am planning to prepare JNCIS-SEC certificate..

Throughout the last two years, I have made tremendous strides in my professional development through Juniper's certification program. In 2020, I had the ambitious goal of leveraging my extensive knowledge of Cisco's networking platforms to achieve JNCIAs in all five of the available tracks at the time within three days, with the intent of taking the exams using my pre-existing knowledge. I achieved this goal, marking the beginning of my Juniper certification endeavors.

In early 2021, as an American high school student, I was forced into a remote learning environment and faced a complete transformation of my day-to-day schedule, as the pandemic ravaged the world. With these newfound circumstances, I aspired to make the best of my time in quarantine by completing several of my certification goals in rapid succession. Among these goals were the JNCIS and JNCIP certifications in Enterprise and Service Provider. Not one to be deterred by daunting challenges, I aspired to complete these four certifications in the span of three days. While these four certifications were immensely challenging, I achieved my goal. Within a few days of testing, I was a double JNCIP in Enterprise and Service Provider, renewing my five JNCIAs and earning me a total of nine Juniper certifications. Following my JNCIPs, I have earned other Juniper certifications as the opportunity sporadically presented itself. In August 2021, I earned the JNCIP-DC. In September 2021, I earned the JNCDS-SP, as part of Juniper's 5-3-1 program, bringing me to a total of 11 Juniper certifications. In the future, I plan to pursue my JNCIE in Enterprise to start, followed by potential aspirations to complete expert level certifications in SP and DC.

While the bulk of my exam success came from my pre-existing knowledge working with the technologies in the enterprise, SP, and datacenter domains, I still encountered the need to briefly practice the technologies on Juniper platforms. This was particularly true for the JNCIP-SP; practicing SP technologies, such as multicast VPN and MPLS, on Juniper platforms helped ensure my success on the hardest Juniper exam that I have taken to date.

My most prudent advice to all Juniper certification candidates is to gain access to a lab environment early in your studies, in order to gain hands-on experience with the Juniper platforms and familiarity with implementation on Juniper platforms. To this end, Juniper offers virtual MX, SRX, and QFX VMs; these virtual appliances are instrumental to ensuring success on Juniper exams. If you have trouble gathering the required resources to run these VMs, Juniper vLabs exists as a great alternative that grants access to these virtual appliances, achieving the same objective. Furthermore, never be afraid to consult documentation; Juniper's technical documentation shines a bright light on complex technologies and allows for easy understanding of the theory and operational details of the technologies.

I started my career in networking with Cisco CCNA considering its popularity at that time. I was working with cisco until I got an offer to work for an ISP where you must obtain JNCIA-JUNOS base on the company's policy. But unfortunately, I failed Junos at the first sitting which motivated me to give 100% focus to Juniper, then I began to see the beauty of the juniper network solutions. I can say that Junos is the best structured, intuitive, and most reliable Network OS.

For the love of Junos, I proceeded to get certified in JNCIS-SEC, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIS-SP as well as the professional certification in the same tracks

The most recent Juniper certification I obtained is JNCIA-MistAI which earned me the juniper network 5A-3S-1P certification badge, it helped me a lot in my current job because the company's network is on Juniper devices.
One of the reasons I love Juniper is that they provide all necessary study resources on https://learningportal.juniper.net like Certification Preparation Videos and Day One Books. For labs, I would recommend EVE-NG (one of the best network emulation software).
Associate Level Certifications offered for FREE are helpful for a junior network engineer

Being part of the J-community gives me the opportunity to find answers to technical problems or questions related to training and certifications. This year, I hope to become a JNCIE certified engineer this year

    Dear all,

I started my journey with Cisco, but my jobs were on-demand with Juniper SRX around seven years ago; I began with JNCIA Junos and continued with JNCIS-SEC, JNCIP-SEC. I can say that Juniper provides the required course material for certification. I used Cisco before, helping me implement my knowledge on Cisco to Juniper products.

Last year, I began to study for JNCIA-Sec, JNCIA-Cloud, and JNCIA-Devops, JNCDA through the 'free' training resources available through the Juniper Learning Portal. Everything I needed to complete my Juniper study was open and accessible. I'd get a hold of the Juniper virtual images to have some hands-on lab time. Once my analysis was complete, I could undertake the exams at a significantly discounted rate (75% off!) and become certified in each category.

Open learning itself makes my certification easier. Finally, I got the JNCIAX5 badges exam by studying videos from Juniper Learning Portal, Udemy and YouTube .  In the future, I will take the exam with JNCIS-ENT, JNCIS-SP and JNCIP-SP.

For colleagues starting to work with Juniper, you can use the Open Learning Portal, which provides various materials, especially associate level, and discounts up to 75% for associate level. The certification does give me confidence in my skills.

    Hello Community,
My experience with certifications with Juniper begins 8 years ago, like all professionals when they finish their university studies, the only thing that is known is CISCO technology, in my first job I had the opportunity to discover the wonderful world of Juniper, the which during all this time opened the doors to great projects and professional growth.
Juniper's certification and training program have been very good for my learning since they have all focused on teaching key and detailed things about the important topics that are required when taking the certification exams, in addition to the ease that you have to take the exams. I hope to continue learning more and more about the Juniper world

My networking journey started with Mikrotik/Cisco, however, along the line, I decided to meet new vendors and I decided to do a lot of research to see what the future of networking will be like. When I stumbled on Juniper and its architecture, I decided to take that path.

With the free voucher provided by juniper and the free materials available online, embarking on juniper training and certification became easy and I choose not to waste further time to explore juniper network solutions

Why Juniper? because the operating system is robust and flexible at the same time, its architecture offers endless configurations, backups, high availability among other features.

Today I am certified in JNCIA-Junos and preparing for the JNCIS-ENT. The differential that Juniper offers is that you have high-quality and free study materials, as well as support in the forums and communities. Juniper Learning Portal has helped me during my certification journey, and I hope to become an EXPERT.

I obtained my CCNA about 8 years ago. Wasn't able to get my foot in the door anywhere though but luckily I got a job with a small ISP 5 years ago working in customer retention unit. I made it known to my boss that networking was where I wanted to be and 3 years ago I moved into a NOC role. I still wanted to progress further though so decided to go the certification path and didn't want to follow the standard Cisco route as more to networking than Cisco!

I saw Juniper Open learning as an opportunity to makes my certification easier. so, I jump at it and used that and obtained my JNCIA 2 years ago and a year after I obtained my JNCIS-ENT. I am now working towards my JNCIP-ENT with the help of CBT Nuggets and Juniper Open learning. Hopefully, be able to book my exam within the next month and reach the next stage. When I first started JunOS it was a learning curve and coming from a Cisco background you can initially think what the hell is the software! That soon passes though and you realise how good JunOS is. It really does set the standard.

Nowadays with the increase of IT and new era about in 5G , IoT, Virtualization , Cloud and Data Center many providers vendors are growing in a faster manner and Juniper Networks isn't the exception .  Hence its for me the second vendor mark into the networking environment.

Since 4 years ago , I decided to start the path journey with Juniper Networks once one that I've acquired my first certification of networking called CCNA , but into the working environment I noticed that Juniper is the best mark that leads in my experience and for that years the devices for security , So for that reason I began to study a lot of more about Juniper and finally I knew the JunOS , at the beginning for me was very complicated understand  certain concepts but through the time I was acquiring knowledge and finally in 2020 after working for 2 years with Juniper I took the training official into the learning portal and it was  awesome because when I finished the course I received a voucher discount to firstly get a certification in Cloud , and one more year later I got my JCNIA Routing and Switch certification too.  I was very amazing with the services such as  that last year I finished the official training for JCNIA Dev Ops and also I got a voucher with discount, unfortunately in this occasion I did not pass the certification exam. But with the hard training from Juniper Dev Ops I´ve learned some tools and skills that helped me  in this year to get a similar certification with another vendor , In fact I only studied another topics , but with the plan of study from Juniper Networks  I consolidate the main topics for the CCNA Dev Net and in this occasion it was more easy . So What is the point that mention until here and because I tell you this . Simply :  Auto Training is big thing as you network engineer or developer , you can start and approach the opportunities as Juniper and other vendors offers to the public . My main message is only to say Thanks Juniper because I have never been though acquired two  officials certifications . And for this same I would like to earn a new challenge  in Routing and Switching to level Expert . Because I am looking to get the JNCIE  ENT  Routing and Switching in 2022 , Already that is the main mark of networking in which work now and in which practice in  real environments to level of enterprise into my company.

So thanks for your attention and I hope to get good luck for a future discount voucher !!

    It would be very amazing

    Thanks  Juniper  Networks .

    Hello Community,

First of all, I would like to thank the Juniper team for high-quality courses, for the best community, and for detailed documentation.
Like many others, I studied CCNA early in my career.
I started working at the Internet Service Provider as Customers support, where access was limited.
I knew that Juniper equipment is used at the core level but I did not have access to it. I operate only at the access layer.
When I first interviewed for a position as a junior network engineer, I was asked if I had ever worked with Juniper equipment. At that time I had no experience or ideas about JUNOS. But I started to study it, and I started studying the JNCIA-JUNOS course
At the second interview, I definitely answered that I know.
After passing the practical test, I was hired as a junior network engineer. Where I already operate practically only with Juniper equipment every day.
And I have already been active in this position for 2 years.
I regret that I did not take the certification at the end of the course. What would have been an important point in my CV.
But in 2022 I want to study and take more Juniper certifications. I have already started again with JNCIA-JUNOS, I hope until March 30 to take the certification JNCIA-JUNOS and go to the next level JNCIS-SP.

In my work environment it was feasible for me to work with several brands, among them the most outstanding Juniper and Cisco, thanks to the company benefits I have been able to develop my skills in Juniper and I managed to obtain my JNCIA-JUNOS and JNCIA-SEC certificates. Juniper's certification preparation courses are excellent and provide the knowledge needed to meet certification objectives. Currently I have as goals to continue studying to achieve the professional security certificate.

After obtaining my CCNA a few years ago, I started a new job that deployed core Cisco as well as core Juniper devices. Initially, the Juniper CLI was fairly intuitive to pick up, along with certain behaviors exhibited by MX Series routers. In a way it seemed like IOS-XR was based on Junos, in structure. I could tell though that I was just at the tip of the iceberg for my Junos understanding & capability, so I wanted to learn more.

I started with the "Open Learning - Migrating from the Cisco CCNA to the JNCIA-Junos" which was quite helpful since the instructor specifically catered to those familiar with Cisco. Whatever your study material, I strongly suggest using a Mind Map (XMind) to take notes, picking out key details unique to your own learning & memory. Having notes in tree form can help your brain recall the "section." I obtained my JNCIA about 1 year ago, & then signed up for CBT Nuggets to continue towards pursuing my JNCIS-SP.

The JNCIA wasn't too difficult to obtain for someone already somewhat familiar with networking basics. I would surmise that the JNCIA is more concerned with Junos methodology rather than general networking. This is good because you step into Juniper quite ready (know your difference between RE & PFE!). Obtaining the JNCIA helped show I was willing to continue learning at my new job, with Juniper routers/switches.

I then obtained my JNCIS-SP about 2 months ago, with the help of CBT Nugget's specific course for the JN0-362.  Though I took lots of notes (in Mind Map), I didn't have to lab too much because I was hands-on with Junos daily across our network. If you don't have access to this, I strongly recommend gaining access to some sort of virtual environment (GNS3, etc) to get used to the CLI & the hierarchical command structure. Take time to build configs & just play around. Using "show config | display set" (& variations with | match) is your best friend. The exams will assume you know what command output looks like & how to read it; it's not just about memorization of protocol behavior.

These certifications have not only helped advance my knowledge & career, but they come with a sense of accomplishment. It's a win-win; thanks Juniper.

I started 5 years ago in the current company where I work, where they are Juniper Partners, during this time I have had the opportunity to work on a large number of projects where we have installed, configured and put into production a wide range of Juniper equipment, among which are the MX, SRX, EX series.

I have had the opportunity to place Juniper equipment in large infrastructures where they manage MPLS, BGP, OSPF in their networks, and thanks to Juniper equipment, the integration into the client's network has been excellent due to the improvements they provide.

Currently I have several certifications which are JNCIA-JUNOS, JNCIA-SEC, JNCIS-SEC, JNCIS-ENT; All the previous ones obtained can be studied from the Juniper platform where they offer a wide variety of tools for study and preparation for tests, which I will continue to use in order to obtain more certifications.

7 years of tenure I achieved strong Networking, Network Administration, Design, support and implementation experience in Core Networks. During this time span I got experience of Good troubleshooting skills on Juniper Routers (MX960,MX480,MX240), Switches (EX8200,EX4200) and Firewalls (SRX5800,SRX3600). I am currently associated with IBM Pakistan as a Network support Specialist.

I do always tell co-workers and supervisors that you possess the Juniper Technical skills needed to succeed, and myself was willing to put in the time and effort to get certified. As I am new learner of Juniper networks so I have the knowledge to enter in workplace with confidence and assert myself as a subject matter expert.

As market trend, Juniper certifications give you an advantage during the hiring process and help you stand out in a competitive market. Some employers won't even consider candidates unless they possess a certain level of Juniper certification.

My career advancement often requires me to learn new technologies or enhance the technical skills in currently possess.

Before joining Juniper Certification camp, I had the Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE-SP) certification and 10 years' experience in the telecom and ISP sector. I applied my acquired knowledge, and with motivation to grow further, I strengthened my skills through continued learning of new technologies and the acquisition of their related Juniper certifications [JNCIA, JNCDA, JNCIS (SEC, SP, DC), JNCIP (SEC, SP, DC). Most recently, I have completed the Data Center certification track of the Juniper Networks Certification Program (JNCIE-DC #245), which offers a multi-tiered program of written and hands-on Lab exams.

I have found that Juniper certifications and programs like JNCP add to my professional repute and market-valued skills. Telecom, IT and ISP sector acknowledges and appreciates the highest skills level and the quality of services being extended. At the same time, I look forward to developing my career further with Juniper in an architectural role and will be working to get the next certification in this area.

    Now I have 17 years' experience of good troubleshooting skills on Juniper Routers MX960, MX480, E320, M10i, M7i), Juniper switches EX8200, EX4200), Juniper Firewalls SRX5800, SRX3600 & MPLS Nodes.

I always encourage everyone to do the Juniper certifications as I am a strong advocate for knowledge sharing. I am always keen to help my team members solve our client's technical problems and provide them with Juniper study material so that they can also up-skill and re-skill continuously for career advancement. If you are taking the initiative to develop your own skills through Juniper certifications, share your material with team members who take an interest.

If you are interested in becoming a Data Center Expert like me, I encourage you to check out JNCP at the link provided https://learningportal.juniper.net or reach out to me and I'd be happy to share more of my experience with you.

I started studying computer networking in college. At that time, I studied CCNA and got CCNA certificate in 2011. Then I went to work for a partner company of Juniper. I have been learning and passionate about Juniper's technology ever since. In 2011 I started taking the JNCIA-ER, JNCIA-EX, JNCIA-M... In 2012, I got the JNCIS-M, then JNCIP-M certifications. JNCIP-M at that time had to take a lab exam in Malaysia.
In 2014 I took the JNCIE-SP exam but failed.
After that, I took many more Juniper written certifications. Currently I maintain other JNCIP certifications (JNCIP-ENT, JNCIP-SP, JNCIP-SEC...), recently I have added JNCIP-DC.
I find Juniper's certificate system more flexible, reasonable and in line with technology trends than Cisco's certificate system.

I just started learning about Juniper in 2020 during the time when the COVID-19 pandemic began to affect the whole world. My company bought the SRX320 device to make a remote VPN for employees to access company resources remotely. I have to administer this device. Then I found out about Juniper Open learning program. I followed that program and got 75% voucher for JNCIA-Junos and JNCDA. I passed these 2 certificates after that.
Recently I am trying to take the JNCIS certification exam and am looking for resources to learn and gain experience.
I joined community.juniper.net and received a lot of benefits for my work as well as personal improvement.

3 years ago, after I graduated and started working as a technical consultant in a telecommunications company. Here, I have learned and worked with many network equipment of the world's leading brands such as Juniper, HPE, Cisco, ..
During the time of working and collaborating, I have found that Juniper's networking equipment has always made me feel satisfied. Technically, products such as firewalls SRX300, SRX320, SRX340, .. are very suitable for small and medium-sized companies or EX2300, EX3400, .. switches are always the first choice of partners. They possess almost all the most optimal technological features on the market today, the products always fully meet the requirements of customers. The installation instructions as well as the device configuration are also very clear and easy to understand, making the deployment fast and  efficient. In addition, repais, extensions and warranty services are always available anytime, anywhere.
I have also successfully studied and passed the certification exam of the company, this has helped me a lot in my current job. I hope that we can cooperate for a long time and Juniper will develop even better in the future.

When I was a child, I used to play online video games with my friends and that was the time I was really into the internet. I had learned so hard to understand everything about the Internet at that time. I even went to the Post and telecommunication institute of technology with telecommunication major.  After 5 years of learning in that university, I had learned a lot about the Internet.
After graduating I went to work in a telecommunication company name ONE Corp, there is where I know about Juniper. I found it very interesting and useful for me, a boy that loves and wants to know more about the network. My leader told and taught me and my colleagues about Juniper devices and Juniper certificates. I could learn about Juniper switches and routers and others.  The thing I was really looking forward to learning is Juniper certificates cause I heard that if I get certificates from Junos, my chance at getting new jobs, promotions will be very bright. Not only that but I also can get a lot of information and knowledge about networks which can help me very much in the future when i want to start a business on my own
Last year, I had a chance to take part in Junos security test. I was very nervous and excited at the same time that I might be getting a certificate from Junos. However, I worked very hard at learning about Junos security. I took every course and learned it over and over until I figured it all out. It took me two weeks to learn everything, I know that it is too much but I got that certificate after all and I really happy and I want to learn more and take more certificates in the future. The next target is JNCIA-Junos, this is now a challenge for me. I am learning to configure through Junos devices like Ex2300, Ex3400,..etc.
That is for me, If I can tell you guys something then it is you really want to take part in and get every Juniper certificate.

I have more than 10 years of experience in the field of information and communication technology. At first I worked with Cisco equipment, then because the company changed, I switched to learning and getting acquainted with Juniper equipment. I have passed the JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-ENT, JNCIS-SEC, JNCIP-SEC certifications in 2016, 2017.
There are a lot of dump-like materials on the market to be able to practice and pass the certifications, but I never use them, and completely rely on my knowledge.
I have failed JNCIS, JNCIP certificates a few times, but I have never used dump to pass them.
JNCIE certification is my goal to pursue, but I have never dared to register for the exam because I know my experience and ability are never enough to take this exam.

I am working for an ISP in Vietnam. My job is to manage MX devices (MX960, MX480, MX240), mainly L2VPN, L3VPN service declaration. I started with Cisco over 10 years ago.
I also have CCIE, however I feel the Cisco certification system is problematic.
I appreciate Juniper's certificate system. I myself have had JNCIA-ER, JNCIA-EX...and recently JNCIS ENT, JNCIP ENT certifications.
At my current company, every year everyone has a quota to register, most people choose Juniper's certificate system instead of Cisco's.

In my professional performance 4 years ago I have had the opportunity to configure, implement and provide maintenance and support to Juniper equipment of the MX, SRX, EX series. The company in which I currently perform my functions is a Genetec partner and offers us competency programs that allow us to acquire skills in terms of network solutions that present great optimization with Juniper equipment, within this program I have acquired the JNCIA-JUNOS certification and With the experience gained, I want to continue raising my level of knowledge through the JNCIST certification. My advice to the community of colleagues in general is to make the most of Juniper's own functionalities and features, as has been done through forums, sharing information that provides a great advantage for our implementations. I appreciate the opportunity through this medium to have these awards to motivate us to continue climbing on this path.

I have been studying and taking Juniper exams since 2016, starting with JNCIA-Junos. I have since passed 5 of the JNCIA exams, and 2 JNCIS exams. (Mist and ENT). I'm continuing to pursue exams to complete the 5-3-1 requirements, with the next exam hopefully being the JNCDS-DC.

A few things that I have learned along the way is that labbing is key! Whether that be Juniper vLabs, EVE-NG, or using Juniper Virtual images. I'm ramping up usage to find the most optimal way to learn and retain the knowledge. That might be the most difficult part if you don't use the technologies on a day-to-day basis.

A word of advice is simply do not give up and take your time, but not too long! Also, schedule the exams as soon as possible to give you a target date to complete your studying by. This will help "force" you to study if you're finding it hard to commit. I'm struggling to commit to studying right now with how busy things are, but setting a small goal of maybe 1 chapter per day, or one small topic per day can really help push your towards your goals. I have failed an exam before (JNCIS-SEC) and will hopefully not fail too many more, but if that happens, focus on the parts you did poorly and try again in less than 2 weeks.

Good luck on your exams, everyone!

I am really fascinated by Juniper's certification system. It is actually very reasonable and much more scientific than most of the certification systems of other brands such as Cisco or Nokia, fortinet. Indeed, recently Cisco has also learned from Juniper in dividing tracks such as Enterprise, Service provider, Security...
Like many other people working in the field of Networking, I started with Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP. However in 2011 I worked for a Juniper partner company and since then I started taking Juniper certifications. I have JNCIA ER, JNCIA EX, then JNCIS ER, JNCIS M, JNCIP SP.
Currently, I mainly manage Juniper devices for the company such as MX104, MX10, EX9208, SRX1400, SRX1500...

I started to step into the field of information technology in 2010 when I enrolled in this field at a University, like most other students, initially everyone thought about programming. In the same year (2010), a guy in the football team I joined told about his work in networking and I started to feel passionate and interested in this field - I started to learn about networking. , training courses in this field. In my country at that time most of the centers taught the Cisco program. As time went on, 5 years ago I applied to the company I am currently working at - as a partner of Juniper, the more I became interested in Juniper's materials and equipment. I have also obtained JNCIP-SEC certification now and continue working towards other Juniper certifications.

I started with the network work 2 years ago. At that time, I could choose to work for 2 companies. It is a Cisco partner and a Juniper partner. I chose Juniper and I think I was right. Since the second half of 2021, I started my Juniper Training and Certificate i just started working so it was really hard and luckily Juniper's training and certification program is really great, easy to access to newbies.
A good start is also about the enthusiastic community, lots of supporting materials and best of all it's completely free. I'm JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS, JNCIP certificate now. If you want to get better at your career, come to Juniper. It's really good

I started researching and learning about Juniper and I found Juniper's training to be amazing, the system, the device is easy to use and it's optimal. I already have some Juniper certifications like JNCIA-Jun0S and JNCIA-Sec and it has really become my plus point in my resume for me to work. I only have 1 year of Juniper experience. Currently I work for a small office with only one SRX300 for protecting 20 users.
My work is so bored so I'm trying to get a new job in an SI company.
In order to get a new job, I'm managing to get JNCIS certifications next months.
In my words, Juniper has a great operating system Junos OS.

I work at a government department. My responsibility is managing Cisco and Juniper devices.
In my opinion Juniper devices with Junos OS are very easy to managed and very rich of functions.
My first Juniper certificate is JNCIA Junos which I got 3 years ago. Then I got JNCDA and JNCIA cloud.
All of my certifications comes with the help of Juniper Open learning program. I only pay 50$ for each, which is very small amount.
THe next, I'm going to get JNCIS ENT or JNCS SP.
I and many of my friends consider that Juniper is the best Network Vendor in the world now.

I graduated from university in 2010. At that time in my country, Cisco still had almost 100% market share in the Networking segment. I took CCNA routing and switching and got this certificate. Then I worked for HP's partner company, aruba and more recently Juniper.
I really like the certification system that is very scientific and ahead of Juniper's trend with a very reasonable track division. Many firms have had to learn this division.
Juniper devices with Junos operating system really bring a revolution for administrators. I was especially impressed with the commit confirm feature. It helps administrators avoid the risk of losing connection when working with remote devices. Very nice and unique.

I haven't had much time working with Juniper devices. However, I was introduced by friends and learned about Junos operating system.
I tried building vQFX, vMX, vSRX devices on NG-EVE and was really impressed with Junos OS.
Earlier this year, I was guided by my friend to get 75% voucher of Juniper Open Learning program and passed the JNCIA Junos certificate (JN0-104). The questions for this certification were relatively easy and I passed the first time.
My friend has JNCIE and he said that the path to this certification is not too difficult, just need to invest about 10,000 lab hours.
I think that number is too much for many people.

I already have a JNCIA Sec certificate.
    I am administering 2 corporate SRX300 devices.
However, I find Juniper's SRX firewall not as good as Checkpoint's or Palo Alto's. Of course, the SRX has a very good CLI administration.
I see the web administration part of SRX needs a lot of improvement because of the fact that a lot of admins are not used to CLI because it is not intuitive.
I also tried using Junos Space Security Director and found it to be relatively fine.
This year I will try to pass the JNCIS Security exam.

I started my introduction to Juniper in the office where I work now. As someone who previously only knew 1 network vendor, Cisco, this was a challenge for myself. However, Juniper was kind enough to provide me with all the materials I needed for my adaptation, from Junos Genius, to turning it into the learning portal as it is now.
With the change in my position from network engineer to security engineer, I have managed to get JNCIS-SEC, JNCIP-SEC and now I have worked with Juniper SRX for 3 years.
Well, If managed to get this discount voucher, I hope to recertify to JNCIP-SEC for work and test my skills. Honestly, this program and the 75%  discount for all associate level is a form of Juniper's concern for all partners who use their products. Bravo, Juniper Networks

    Find your own pace

I started my learning and growth adventure with Juniper around 5 years ago, as fresh out of college I was eager to understand the industry and what forces shape technology evolution. That took me to hear about industry standard technologies, standards organizations (i.e., IEEE/IETF/ETSI/3GPP) and a ton of components of the larger ecosystem; and Juniper is a big name in the industry. It all started out of curiosity from reading the syllabus for multiple exams and trying figure out the how all those acronyms fit into different puzzles that catch my attention into different Juniper Tracks. – Surely, you'll find one within your interests. 🤓

Last year, I have focused a bit more on the SP side of Juniper Tracks, allowing to achieve JCNCIS and SP design, also did a bit of expansion on DevOps and DC aspects; there are many challenges while facing exams, each certification is unique in some way; topics, and approach.

Talking about preparation; personally, I prefer a bit of old schoolbook reading, but I believe curiosity is key to adjust yourself to varying defies into each track and level and what best works for you, videos, labs, or instructor led training. When all's said and done a great share of the value resides mostly in all what you learn towards exam than the exam itself….

My experience with Juniper is approximately 4 years ago, I currently have the JNCIA and JNCIS-ENT certifications, therefore my next step is JNCIP-ENT. I like the courses and the study material because they explain from the most basic to the advanced, understanding that the journey in the world of networking can have many specialties such as enterprise, service provider, security, among others.
Just as a comment, I would be very grateful if you consider providing the study material in other languages, such as Spanish.
Thank you Juniper team for the support and providing a very rewarding experience in the certification track and study plan.

My adventure with Juniper Networks is very exciting, because here I started with security. There is a great deal of learning material, extensive documentation and constant news e.g. from the newsletter.  It would be nice if this whole range of knowledge was somehow better structured so that it was easy to start learning from one place. I mean, it was possible to prepare for the exam in the right order from one portal. A nice addition to this would be additional "tabs" on how to quickly use e.g. KB or PR. I currently hold the JNCIA-SEC certificate, which I passed this year. I am currently preparing for the JNCIS-SEC. I am using publicly available Juniper materials. One of the biggest challenges was physically taking the exam. I dealt with this by pre-approving the date. The certifications I obtained helped me with consecrating and repairing Juniper devices. My advice is to look for materials and not stop at one. I am currently studying cybersecurity, which I can combine with the security stuff offered by Juniper. In the future I want to deal with security issues related to Juniper products. For beginners, I can recommend that there are many resources available, such as Learning Academy.

I worked as a supervisor for a large ISP in Vietnam for 2 years from 2010-2011. At that time, I could only monitor MX router devices and not enter configuration mode.
Then I moved to an SI company and got involved in system integration. I am familiar with the configuration and troubleshooting of router devices of Juniper, Cisco, ALcatel...
Recently, thanks to the Open learning program, I was able to take the JNCIA certifications (Junos, Cloud).
Personally, I think Juniper is growing and will continue to contribute a lot to the world's information technology.

Like many of us, I knew the IT world through CISCO in school however my first official job working as an engineer was handling JUNIPER technology I remember that was a new challenge because I did not know how it work.

In my first 3 months of working, I could be certified as JNCIA studying guides and public documentation, making my own labs with EX3300 and SRX320.

Recently I passed my JNCIP-SP I took the 3 recommended trainings and they were awesome because I could understand more about the SP environment and in a couple of months I going to present mi Expert Service Provider Test.

Obviously, I work in a Service Provider company in my country but that is not a limit as well I am going to present the Specialist Enterprise & Specialist Design tests, these certifications helped me to grow up where I work and the experiences have been great, I have designing networks for customers and present my ideas with best practices on their networks I have a really great experience working with technology by JUNIPER.

My best wishes to everybody that begin in this world and my best advice would be to believe in yourself, you can do it!

I don't remember exactly what year my first Juniper certification was. I just remember that I was very young then. I was the first person in my company to take that certification. My boss gave me a big bonus. After that, the company changed the business of trading. I don't work with Juniper anymore.
Recently, however, our partners have switched to Juniper devices a lot. I was forced to go back and quickly retake the JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP certifications.
Juniper certifications I find very suitable for people with real capacity. I hate using dump for certification exams and wish Juniper would make it strict.

I started my career as a NOC engineer working in Telecom Company.I started my career in networking with Cisco CCNA considering its popularity at that time.I just started learning about Juniper in 2020 during the time when the COVID-19 pandemic began to affect the whole world. My first certificate was JNCIA-JUNOS where I got a general skills about Juniper devices and how to connect and manipulate of different devices. One of the reasons I love Juniper is that they provide all necessary study resources on https://learningportal.juniper.net like Certification Preparation Videos and Day One Books. For labs, I would recommend EVE-NG (one of the best network emulation software)..Associate Level Certifications offered for FREE are helpful for a junior network engineer.I would like to thank the Juniper team for high-quality courses, for the best community, and for detailed documentation. Recently I am trying to take the JNCIS certification exam and am looking for resources to learn and gain experience. Thanks

It is not difficult to find the most optimal networking certificate system on the market today. That is Juniper's JNCP program.
Cisco has a broader certificate system, but it is very fragmentary and illogical. Recently I see Cisco has been following some of Juniper's.
I got JNCIE-DC last year after 5 months of effort. Taking the JNCIE online helps me a lot because I don't have to go abroad.
I do lab on NG-EVE with vQFX and vMX.

To achieve this certification, I took the Juniper Open Learning program to help me prepare to the certification exam and become more familiar with JunOS firmware. I can say it was worth it since I got introduced to Juniper devices and obtained my certification and thus my journey began.

Earlier this year I achieved the Juniper Service Provider Switching and Routing Specialist certification with the help of the Juniper Learning Portal, which helped me to narrow down which topics I needed to focus on and study on my own, right now I'm preparing to go after the next certification and become a certified Professional. I feel satisfied with the results up to today because beside having certifications that are helping me attain better opportunities, with all the training I got the chance to expand my network knowledge and that alone makes the journey worthwhile. For everyone that would like to initiate their journey as well, the Juniper Open learning program is the perfect place to start since there are different paths to take which give us the freedom to decide which one we would like to take.

    Best Regards!

In my country, Juniper and Cisco are the two networking vendor that are biggest.
Cisco has advantage of earlier started but Juniper is stronger and stronger nearly.
I'm really extracted by the Juniper Certification Program (JNCP) that easily make Juniper pass Cisco in the field of networking certification in my country.
I have joined some of Juniper bootcamps such as JEX, AJEX, JIR, JMV, JTOC, JFV...in the past and I also get many Juniper technical certificates: JNCIA ER, JNCIA EX, JNCIS M, JNCIP M, JNCIE M, JNCIE SP...

My JNCIP certificate expired 5 years ago, I moved companies and my new company didn't ask for it, so I haven't renewed yet.
I also hear of Juniper Open learning program.
Personally, I find the Juniper certification very flexible and in line with technology trends.
If evaluated, I always choose Juniper's certification system.

My brother passed JNCIE-SP last year. He used books purchased from Inet zero and did the lab according to the instructions on NG-EVE.
I am also following the same way to practice.
Currently I have JNCIA Junos. I plan to take the JNCIE-SP first. After that, if I pass, I will complete the JNCIS, JNCIP-SP exam.
If I fail, I will give up.
My job requires a lot of handling related operations with warnings. I've been to a number of Juniper related bootcamps and have been fairly competent.

I was passionate about Networking when I was a university student, those years in my country Cisco's curriculum was the most popular. After college, I applied and was accepted into a company that did many projects on Juniper devices, since then I have learned and implemented many Juniper Branch, Enterprise devices - that is also one of the reasons why i take Juniper certifications.

Last year, I obtained the JNCIS ENT cert.
I used the learning material that provided on Juniper open learning page and my Juniper experience.
I do not use any dump and passed by my real ability.
After obtaining JNCIE ENT cert, I introduce JNCP to my friends that mostly focus on Cisco and one of them has obtained JNCIA later.
This year, I'm going to obtain JNCIP ENT to improve my salary level.

I graduated from university for 10 years now. When I graduated, in my country, Cisco still had almost 100% market share in the Networking segment.
Cisco has advantage of earlier started but Juniper is stronger and stronger nearly.
I don't have much experience with Juniper's equipment, in fact I have only been able to do lab on Olive simulation software.
Previously, I have obtained Juniper Certificates. They were JNCIS M, JNCIP SP.
Recently I'm interested in Juniper DevOps and trying to get JNCIA DevOps and JNCIS DevOps this year.

Need 3 three attempts and 3 months to take JNCIA Junos certificates.
I graduated from my university last year and only have 6 months at work at my company.
Using only learning portal video and practice test, so I need  3 times. Poor me.
Anyway, I will try another materials to pass JNCIS ENT next months.
Most of my friends love Cisco, but I prefer Juniper.

    Hi all,
Over the past 6 year ago, as a level-2 NOC engineer working with mid-sized Service Provider where delivering services based on IP, there were a high variety of different vendor cutting edge technologies and products were being used at their BGP enabled IP MPLS backbone. One of the vendors was a Juniper product with a different size of Juniper firewall SRX series and router MX series. When troubleshooting the tickets related to the SRX and MX series, operational commands were the same with no differences between… When that came to the other vendor which was being used by the majority of large network infrastructure, their firewall CLI commands were slightly different  from their router and switch devices, so it needed to memorize all the commands that were for troubleshooting.

That thing was quite different at Juniper products and it was so easy and rather simple..… That was the main reason I started and progressively built my knowledge and increased my hands-on experiences on JUNOS…I loved Juniper's engineering simplicity…. Why?.... Because all platforms running the JUNOS OS use the same software source code base within their platform-specific images. Of course this design ensures  that core features work in a consistent manner across all platforms running JUNOS OS. So many features and services are configured and managed the same way, the setup tasks and ongoing maintenance and particularly operation within your network are simplified… After consistently leveraging all Juniper resources (not limited to only preparing certs) I obtained some certifications on Juniper SP and Security track... And currently I've interested in Cloud, Data Center and Design cert track.. Within the same study discipline in line with creating spare time for study, I ensure I will get more knowledge /certs and more hands on experience...

    Thanks,
    A.

I'm new to Juniper. I'm familiar to Cisco.
But I have learned about Juniper learning portal which provide 75% discounted for all Associate cert level. That's really great for student or fresher.
I'm trying to pass the test with minimum of 70% to get the discounted voucher for JNCIA Junos and Security.
After get the JNCIA Junos, I will touch JNCIS ENT which is useful for my job.
My friends, many of them, have JNCIP and JNCIE and they have better salary.

    Hi Juniper Community,

I am an IP integration engineer, as part of my integration activities I have had the need to learn more about Juniper, but starting with that in this time of changes I had the opportunity to obtain 2 certifications, JNCIA-Junos and JNCIA-SEC In less than 3 months, even when I work full time, the most important thing is that these certifications have helped me to work on new projects or new challenges.

But I'm pretty sure I couldn't have done it without the help of all the material Juniper has to offer. I believe that this community has grown thanks to the great contribution of Juniper with the videos, recordings, reference material, live sessions, even the laboratories that we have to practice, I have been able to learn not only from EX models also from vSRX or even MX models.

Now the challenge for me is to prepare for a certification in cloud and automation, even improve in the areas that I already know.

Finally, social networks have helped me to follow the new material that Juniper offers, LinkedIn and YouTube offer another opportunity to keep up to date with new news, success stories and much, much knowledge.

Thank you very much to all.
    Greetings.
