When versions are removed from the Juniper download site you have to open a support ticket to request the files.

I have a similar problem.  In my case these switches were mothballed and have old firmware and the SLA has expired.  Is there any other way to get firmware for these devices?  I am assuming that I cannot just upgrade from 15.1X53-D55.5 to 18.3R1.9?  Thank you for any information you can provide.

Assuming you are also on the ex2300, you will need to update to the latest 15.1x series for the switch before jumping to Junos 18.

See the release notes for 15.1x for the details in the upgrade section page 35.

NOTE: : EX2300 or EX3400 switches running Junos OS Software Release 15.1X53-D57 or
earlier revisions cannot be directly upgraded via CLI to Junos OS Software Release 18.1R1
because of configuration incompatibilities between the two releases related to the uplink port
configurations. For example: Any configuration having interfaces on the uplink module (xe-0/2/*)
will throw errors during the upgrade process. To work around this problem, please specify the
validate option in the upgrade command to check for these errors, then remove the configuration
that results in the errors, and use the no-validate option to do the upgrade.
Alternately, an intermediate upgrade to 15.1X53-D58 can be performed by keeping the
configuration intact and then a subsequent upgrade to 18.1R1 is possible.
