I want to make some space in storage in a EX3400 to be able to create a snapshot, but there is no enough space in /var.  I know I can use 'request system storage cleanup' but I want to keep the logs of the switch.

Running a dry on, I can see that a file vmcore.direct is taking a large amount of space, so I wanted to know if I can remove this only safely, and best way to do it.

    request system storage cleanup dry-run

The file identified by storage clean up can be removed manually safely.

I am pretty sure this is a core file generated during a software issue which would have all the logs for that problem.  So if you are into saving logs you might want to download that off the switch before deletion.
