    Hi,

Where can I get more information about the MX104? I happen not to see this on the main datasheet provided. http://www.juniper.net/us/en/local/pdf/datasheets/1000446-en.pdf

    Specifically I need:

    1. The max number of 1pv4 routes.

    2. Max number of Ipv6 tunnels.

    3. Max number if Ipsec tunnels.

Also, do we have nice document comparing the MX Mid-range routers and their  (soft) capabilities on one sheet? Soft I mean, non physical stuff like Ipsec, NAT, etc..

    Regards,

Anyone, who may have missed this thread?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    IPv4 unicast FIB 1 million
    IPv6 unicast FIB  512K

    Ipv4 RIB   4 million
    IPv6 RIB  3 million

So nothing new here, 1 million in hardware.

By default the MX series doesn't tunnel
    You need a Services card.

The MS-MIC-16G will take a slot
In general though this is not yet supported on the MX104. It will be supported in 14.2  August 2014.

Ask your Juniper rep to send you  MX104-customer-presentation-tdm.

If you don't have a channel rep let me know.

    Hi,

The linked doc, does not disclose the FIB size. Do you have link that shows for that specifically?

    Thanks,

    Intopian.

The info I have on the MX104 says:

    MAC scaling: 512k
    FIB capacity: IPv4 unicast 1M
FIB capacity: IPv6 unicast 512k min
    RIB capacity: IPv4 4M
    RIB capacity: IPv6 3M

From Juniper tech support yesterday if using this specific RE-MX-104 with 4GB of Ram:

                    MX-104 with RE-MX-104:

    • Total RIB IPv4 entries (tested with 10 EBGP sessions and Nonstop routing enabled): 8000000
    • Total FIB Scale with IPv4 routes: 1815018
    • Total RIB IPv6 entries (with 10 BGP sessions and NSR enabled): 8000000
    • Total FIB scale with IPv6 routes 1800020
