    Hi,
I have a query about 2 XGEs port on SCBE2, SCBE3 on MX router. It seems connected to the Ethernet switch on the SCB, but I do not know about the purpose, study case for these ports.
    Could someone know about them?
From Juniper document: SCBE2-MX Description - TechLibrary - Juniper Networks

    XGE ports

Two Ethernet ports, labeled XGE, provide 10 GbE/1 GbE SFP+ interfaces. These ports also are connected to the Ethernet control switch which limits the traffic for the 10 GbE port and provides security to prevent unwanted access to the control plane via the external ports.

    Hi,

It is used mainly in the external server mode for the Node Slicing feature.

    Yours sincerely.
