  • 1.  Is it possible to take jno-333 exam after taking jn0-102 exam to recertify?

    Posted 07-17-2019 04:21

    Hello everyone,

I have a JNCIA-junos certification that will end in 7/8/2019. To re certify I was planning to take JNCIS-SEC. As I saw in these links

    https://learningportal.juniper.net/juniper/user_activity_info.aspx?id=5357

    https://www.juniper.net/sites/us/en/training/certification/es_track.page

it is possible to do that

After calling the center I am planning to take the exam at I found out that JN0-332 exam is not available and they only have JN0-333.
Is it possible for me to take JN0-333 exam now? if not what are my options for exams in the security field as I have been preparing for this exam for a while now and I don't have time to study another field.

    Hi,

In the security, there is a new certification i.e. JNICA-SEC (JNO-230) which is the new Prerequisite for JNCIS-SEC.

    https://www.juniper.net/us/en/training/certification/certification-tracks/junos-security-track?tab=jncisec

This was a recent update. Previously, JNCIA-Junos was the prerequisite for all the JNCIS in all tracks. However, for security track, its changed. So you might want to take JNO-230 and then followed bu JNO-333.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Pradeep

Does taking JN0-230 recertify JN0-102?? Also is it possible to prepare for JN0-230 in almost 14 days after preparing for JN0-333??

    Hi smarneh,

The exam jno-333 is also the new JNCIS-SEC, so if you were preparing for jno-332 then you should take jn0-332.  Just go through the syllabus for any changes and you should be good.

You'll find this info explained here as well:

Wish you all the best :).

    Hope this helps.

I can't take jn0-333 because I didn't take the prerequisite exam which is now jn0-230.

    Hi,

Does taking JN0-230 recertify JN0-102?? Regarding this, I don't think it would re-certifiy. However, to get the confirmation, I would suggest you to write to certification@juniper.net.

JNO-230 has concepts of SKYSTP, UTM and monitoring/reporting, however basic. So, suggest you to look into the Exam objectives and decide if you will be able to make it in 14 days.

Virtual SRX seems to be an addition to JNO-333 compared to JNO-332.

    Hope this helps.

    Reagrds,

    Pradeep.

While our written exams can be taken in any order, candidates must hold an active JNCIA-SEC certification to earn the JNCIS-SEC certification.

We do have full cross track associate-level recertification. Thus, passing any associate or higher-level exam will also recertify all other active associate certifications. The same holds true for recertification through course attendance.

Does this mean that I can take JNCIS-SEC and pass it then take JNCIA-sec?? If this is possible will it recertify JNCIA-Junos?

    Hi smarneh,

No, you cannot take JNCIS-SEC without JNCIA-SEC.
