    Hello,

I configured the network diagram shown below using logical system on vMX:

    OSPF-VIRTUAL-LINK.png

    There is two routing domains:

    1) OSPF with vGW,vR1,vR2 & vR3 devices. This is split in 3 areas (0,1,2). The area 2 doesn't have direct connection to area 0. It's connected to backbone area via virtual link from vR2 to vR1.

    2) BGP with vGW and vISP.

OSPF devices can reach vISP via default route generated on vGW once it received vISP's loopback network. Statics routes has been configured on  vISP to allow connectivity with OSPF devices. From here everything is OK.

    Below is my concerns

I expected to have all OSPF devices's loopback on vR3 but vR1's loopback  is missing. The consequence is that from vR3 I ping vISP loopback but not vR1 loopback. Maybe I missunderstand something. Find in attached file devices configuration. Thanks for your support

    Hello,

    You haven't defined lo0.3 under LS vR1 .

Please add this line to Your config:

    set logical-systems vR1 interfaces lo0.3 family inet address 172.17.22.3/32

    HTH

    Thx
    Alex
