I started my Juniper certification path too many years ago: my first JNCIA was a "M" in 2005, and when I discovered the Juniper way to teach things through glorious Sybex books, I soon achieved JNCIS-M and JNCIP-M and abandoned the previous Cisco certification path. I felt in love with how things where described: a long dissertation on standards, and after that how Junos adheres to them, with many real-life scenarios. After reading all four glorious Sybex JNCIx Study Guides, I wasn't able to read a Cisco guide anymore (too much Cisco centric information).
After then, a long career in many paths: JNCIA/S/P-FW, JNCIA/S/P-EX/ENT, SSL, IDP achieved through regular instructor led classes. After learning academy went online, I became an eager reader and make the leap to presale and sale territory, eventually achieving the Ingenious Champion status.
Recently, due to homeworking being the new normal, I started to register to as much as possible webinars, online workshops, at every work shift: and I must admit that Juniper shined in comparison to other brands!!! The last year I attended 4 full length courses (DevOPS, Datacenter, Design, Service Provider) being comfortably sit at home, and adding new badges to my wall!
I owe Juniper in very extent, since during these years I succeeded in staying ahead of the curve thanks to their learning paths and online academy: it's been being a continuous school, where I learned new technologies and market hypes. That reflected to my way of working, and my company and its customers received a benefit from that.
My goal for 2022 is to stay here, above the edge, reaching for new technologies (Wireless, AI) and scenarios (Cloud). Hope I can succeed!
Best regards
Massimiliano
